RAZER LAUNCHES PC REMOTE PLAY

As much as I love my gaming PC, there’s no denying it’s not exactly portable. On the other hand, my smartphone is sleek and powerful, but it simply can’t handle most high-end PC titles due to compatibility issues.
That’s why Razer’s latest announcement the launch of PC Remote Play immediately caught my attention.

According to the official statement from Razer, PC Remote Play allows you to stream your games directly from your PC to a wide range of devices. That includes iPhones, iPads, Android phones, portable gaming consoles, and even other Windows PCs. It supports a broad variety of mobile controllers and, if you’re playing on a tablet, you can also use mouse, keyboard, and trackpad inputs for a more desktop-like experience.

What sets this feature apart is its smart optimization system. Razer claims PC Remote Play automatically adjusts visual settings like resolution and refresh rate based on the capabilities of the device you’re using. It does all this without forcing a fixed aspect ratio, so you get the best possible experience no matter what screen you’re playing on.

If you’re using an Android device paired with a Razer Kishi Ultra controller, you’ll also benefit from haptic feedback, adding an extra layer of immersion. And when it comes to game libraries, you’re not limited: PC Remote Play works with all the major platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft PC Game Pass, and more.

I’ve always enjoyed mobile gaming, but I’ve never really had a reason to give up my desktop rig. Many of my favorite titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur’s Gate 3 just aren’t available natively on mobile. And while handheld consoles like the Steam Deck are tempting, they’ve always been a bit too pricey for what I was willing to spend.

Now, with PC Remote Play, I can play those same games on my mobile device using a compatible controller, as long as I stay within the PC’s network range. The convenience is great, and the performance tweaks Razer has built in are a big plus.

That said, I’m not planning to abandon my big-screen setup anytime soon. But for anyone looking to play their PC library on the go without shelling out for extra hardware Razer’s PC Remote Play is a compelling new option worth exploring.
